Our locally grown Huffman Ranch beef is purchased using a whole animal butchery model, which means we offer fresh bones and offal (tongue, kidney, heart and liver) along with the filet mignon, T-bone and rib eye steaks. We also carry select cuts of locally raised pork, including pork chops and roasts, as well as hams and bacon. When available, we offer locally raised lamb and goat, as well.
Our seafood department highlights a variety of wild-caught Alaskan fish and shellfish. We offer whole filets of Alaskan Black Cod, Yelloweye Rockfish, Pacific Cod and Sockeye Salmon, as well as Halibut steaks, Salmon burgers, and packages of Cod or Halibut bits and pieces that work fantastically in soups and chowders. Our seafood department is rounded out by a selection of high quality gluten-free breaded seafood products, including Ian’s fish sticks and Henry & Lisa’s fish nuggets, both made with all natural Alaskan Pollock.
Co-op Market’s cheese department carries a variety of natural and organic cheeses, as well as artisan cheeses from the Pacific Northwest and around the world. Check back often as we continue to grow our selection using direct feedback from our customers and Owners!
Co-op Market’s bakery department is regularly supplied with artisan breads and bagels, and a variety of sweet and savory treats from popular local vendors. We are currently working on sourcing high quality gluten-free and vegan products, so check back often as our selection grows!
Toad-ally Baked, formerly Marty’s Bake Shop, offers a large selection of sweet treats like cream cheese or walnut brownies, fresh baked cinnamon rolls, and the cobbler-esque raspberry or date bars. We also carry their pizza dough in our fresh and our frozen section, a product that became popular with the local community through years of direct sales at the Fairbanks Farmer’s Market.
You’ll also find sweet treats such as loaves of homemade banana bread and zucchini bread from Kempner’s Farm in Fairbanks.
