☆Project Manager Job Description:
Manage activities and manage events on a time line for opening a cooperatively owned grocery store in Fairbanks Alaska. Activities to include implementation of ongoing programs for increasing membership, volunteer recruitment and coordination, and solicitation of member loans. Provide research and technical assistance to the Finance Committee to assist in further refinements to the an established business plan and identifying sources of financing needed for opening the store. Also provide research and assistance to the product selection committee and the health and wellness committees, and assist in the continued development of community support for the organization. Provide administrative support to the Board and various committees as needed. Time spent on different functions is estimated as follows: 15% on the member loan campaign, 20% on volunteer coordination, 10% on the GM search, and 55% on admin. functions (including refinements to business plan).
☆Duties And Responsibilities:
1:Manage the day to day operation of the Co-op Market office.
2:Recruit and schedule volunteers.
3:Communicate project status clearly and frequently with stakeholders and project team, as well as with external vendors. Collaborate and negotiate with the team and manage overall expectations.
4:Facilitate internal creative reviews, serving as the single point of contact for feedback and coordination for the team, as well as driving conflicts to optimal resolution.
5:Identify dependencies, issues and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle; adjust plans based on the changing needs of the business and load-balance schedules and resources accordingly.
6:Ensure that projects are launched on time and within scope and budget.
7:Develop detailed, clear and realistic project plans, estimates and schedule. Document project requirements. Identify and coordinate team resource requirements and deliverables.
1:A working knowledge of research methods.
2:Excellent communication and organizational skills required
3:Advanced project management abilities
4:Familiarity with Computer data base and spreadsheet software.
5: Team oriented and willing to collaborate.
6:Must be detail oriented and have at least 6 years of related experience
