Melanie Jackson is an Engineering Assistant for the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities. Melanie’s work at ADOT& PF involves rural airport and highway design within the Northern Region.
Melanie moved to Fairbanks in 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her professional interest has been in water quality and environmental issues in Arctic settings, working for private, State and Federal agencies.
Melanie served as a member to several local non-profit organizations such as Alaska Chapter of the American Water Resource Association and Alaska Mining Association.
Her interest in Fairbanks Community Cooperative Market comes from a desire to see local produce and goods opened to a larger variety of customers and to expand the culinary experiences of the community to include Alaskan specialties.
