As per our by-laws, in the case of resignations our BOD can make appointments to serve the balance of the term of a vacant seat. Such appointment will be subject to a vote of confirmation by the membership at the next term.
Board Seat B: Julie Smith
Julie moved to Fairbanks in 1982 with her husband, Doug. She and Doug raised their two children and built five homes together in the Fairbanks community. She has worked as an attorney, mediator, trainer, non-profit director, and university administrator. She is especially interested in the dynamics of cooperative decision-making and community engagement. Julie holds a B.S. in Political Science from Lake Superior State College, a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and a Certificate in Integral Theory from JFK University.
