Are you a Co-op Market Owner yet?
Since May 1st, we’ve welcomed 27 new Owners – and lots of current Owners have paid off their investment. We’ve raised more than $5000 in Owner equity for store improvements, meaning we’re several steps closer to a warming table for the Deli!
We’re learning that there are almost as many reasons to join the co-op as there are Owners. Some do it for the organic brussels sprouts or the Fair Trade dark chocolate espresso beans. Others join because of their strong commitment to our community.
And some are in it for the prizes.
No… Not only for the prizes. But we’re doing all we can to give you just a little extra incentive. To begin, if you become an Owner or pay off your investment this month, you can choose a free Co-op Market mug or shopping bag. We’ll also enter your name in a drawing for an Alaffia basket full of Fair Trade goodies. (Askinosie chocolate, anyone?)
Owners who stop by the table near the door and update their information (especially email address) will be entered in a drawing for a bag full of Earth-friendly items, including a Lifefactory bottle. Love the co-op enough to pose for a portrait with our chalkboard? Owners who do this are also entered in the Earth-friendly drawing.
Even those who aren’t Owners can get in on the winnings. We’re partnering with Woodstock to give away a beautiful wood-sided garden wagon, or you could win a Citizen folding bike from Honest Tea. These drawings are open to everyone. You’ll find entry forms in the store.
We’ll choose the winners for all of these prizes on June 1st. Of course, we’ll contact the winners directly. We’ll also publish the names here.
Need just one more reason to become an Owner this month? You can help your favorite employee win a prize, too. Employees’ names are entered into a drawing for Co-op Cash every time they sign up a new Owner or accept a final payment from a current Owner.
So, drop by the store, try some samples, and enter to win. We wish you good luck – and we thank you for helping us improve and expand our community store.
