Dr. May moved to Fairbanks from Seattle in 2009 with his wife and children to work at The Alaska Center for Natural Medicine as a primary care naturopathic doctor. Originally his plan was to work there for two years and move back to Washington state to open up his own clinic. However, he and his family fell in love with the people of Fairbanks and now hope to be here much longer.
He works a lot with people with chronic degenerative diseases and focuses on lifestyle changes as the foundation of his treatments. This is why he is very excited about being a part of the Co-op and improving access to good quality, local food. Currently, Dr. May writes a health article in the Co-op newsletter, Fudz, and often guest hosts the radio show Health Talk on KFAR 660AM.
